We are located in the Northwestern tip of Alberta at Bistcho Lake, one of the province's largest trophy fishing hot spots.  We have created a serene and comfortable oasis to enjoy Canada's greatest asset - " NATURE"

Bird Tours are at Tapawingo Lodge at Bistcho Lake.  We are fortunate enough to be able to witness several varieties of; song birds, Ducks, Pelicans, Seagulls, Eagles and Swans.

It has been said that we have more Eagle nest's than any other lake in AB.  A huge abundance of Seagulls that have taken over an island, hence the island has been names Gull island to everyone who visits us.  Here we have the largest Seagull eggs in AB. The Canadian Government comes once a year to confirm this and track the prosperity of these birds.

Pelicans and Ducks are everywhere.  What a great day to spend out fishing and watching these birds dive for their food. If they live in the Boreal Forest then they live with us.

Our bird tours can be designed to whatever you want. We can arrange for a guide to be with you or you may want to have the opportunity to explore the lake on your own. We will supply a 16' hull with 15hp motor, maps and a globalstar phone, if you desire, for your safety at a small additional cost. You will spend your days exploring this remote lake and discovering the many birds and wildlife in the area at your own pace. Enjoy the peacefulness & beauty  that the Canadian  north has to offer

You will come prepared  with your own food and be prepared to cook it.  This enables you to enjoy everything at your own time and schedule.  All cabins are equipped with 4 burner propane stove and BBQ. All cooking utensils are also provided. Bunk beds and sheets for 6 people in each cabin, you just need your sleeping bag. At the lodge we have hot community showers, horseshoe pits, and redneck dartboard setup. We also have cards and poker chips for your evening entertainment. If this is not your thing, spend your evenings on benches etc outside to hopefully catch a glimpse of the beautiful Northern Lights.
